Artesia Chamber of Commerce works year-round to provide opportunities for our community to reach out to elected officials at every level of government, from city and county to state and federal.  We host educational events to help the residents of Eddy County gain access to and understand issues that affect citizens as well as local business and industry. Business advocacy and interaction is an integral aspect of these events.

Feature events include:

• The annual Washington Fly-in every April includes a group of local business leaders and elected officials. They meet with the entire New Mexico delegation as well as several federal agencies.
• The annual Eddy County Legislative Reception in Santa Fe during the state’s legislative session. Artesia Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development partners with Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce to organize the reception. This gives residents of Eddy County an opportunity to meet with state legislators and department leaders.
